As beautiful place as we've ever seen, and so quiet! (if you don't count wind, flapping wings and chattering squirrels). We loved Sand Hills and Shelburne - Chester was a bit too precious. Nova Scotians were so friendly and outgoing. But most of all we loved the unimpaired abiility here to relax and reflect.

Crescent Beach
A mile long stretch of white sandy beach.
DescriptionCrescent Beach is a mile-long stretch of white sand that links the town of Lockeport to the mainland. As a serviced beach, parking, changing rooms, showers and washrooms, a canteen, craft shop, visitor information centre and internet access site can all be found at the Beach Centre.On different weekends in the summer the beach plays host to a variety of different festivals and contests. Everything from sandcastle building contests to beach parties to the ever popular Sea Derby. This is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day with your children. LocationIt is a two minute walk from the Old Parsonage, and Beach Walk Cottage to Crescent Beach. Beechmont House is a 3 minute drive to this beach. Castaway Ocean Lodge, The Swim House, Rockland Cottage and Southwest Breakers are all approximately a 10 minutes drive. Maple View House, Meadow Pines Cottage, Sanderling Beach House and A Blue House are all about a 15 minutes drive to the beach.To get to the beach take Exit 24 off HWY 103.
