Guest Testimonials

We have fallen in love with Nova Scotia.  It was a wonderul week.  We  were able to enjoy many of the amaxing beaches and sights around this area.  We even saw porpoises right outside Peace and Plenty cottage!

We're both architects so it was a particular pleasure  to stay in a cottage that we had seen published.  Its beautiful - we wish more people were building contemporary cottages, and the site is gorgeous!

As beautiful place as we've ever seen, and so quiet!  (if you don't count wind, flapping wings and chattering squirrels).  We loved Sand Hills and Shelburne - Chester was a bit too precious.  Nova Scotians were so friendly and outgoing.  But most of all we loved the unimpaired abiility here to relax and reflect.

We experienced two weeks holidays in a wonderful nice place.  The nature, sun, sea, fog, wind wildlife and many other things have fullfilled our days with peace and satisfaction. As a boatbuilder and naval architect, I have been very satisfied with the architecture of this house

Hiking Through Keji
Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct
From the hiking trails there is a a panoramic view of ocean.

Description

Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct is a 22 square kilometers of unspoiled spectacular Atlantic coastline. The coastline is populated with harbour and grey seals that can often be seen basking on the rocks. Large white-sand beaches and rugged landscape are a popular haven for migrating shorebirds and home to seabirds such as eider ducks, scoters and grebes. Geologists also find interesting rock formations to uncover at the Adjunct.

There are two scenic trails to the coast. The Harbour Rocks trail is 5.2 km hike to the coast and back to the parking lot. Or for a longer walk, there is an 8.7 km hiking trail that loops around Port Joli Head. Interpretive exhibits along the trails provide information on the rich diversity of plants and wildlife.
