Shielded from the weather by a screen of artfully landscaped evergreens that capitalize on the view while maintaining a sense of privacy, Bramble Lane Cottage is the perfect location for a week of quiet solitude.This simple yet charming cottage has a functional layout with an open-concept living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. A twin bedroom and three piece bathroom with shower completes the downstairs floor plan. Upstairs is a master bedroom with a queen size bed and view of the ocean; a three-piece bathroom with an old-fashioned claw-foot bath and a media room with a TV, a DVD player and stereo. Comfortably furnished with an eclectic mix of old and new pieces, the cottage features a woodstove for warmth and ambiance and a cozy day bed in the corner of the living room. It’s the perfect spot to while away the afternoon with a good book. With the Atlantic Ocean at your doorstep, and the beautiful white sands and great surfing waves of Johnston’s Pond Beach just a half-mile away, Bramble Lane is far from civilization, yet close to nature. This ocean setting is beautiful in all weather conditions – from the idyllic tranquility of a calm blue-sky day to a stormy tempest with crashing waves, strong winds and overcast skies. We prepared tasty BBQ and then just soaked in the sun on the new porch while watching fishing boats setting up lobster traps. When we wanted to stretch our legs, we walked to the nearby sandy beach - what a gorgeous site. We were the only humans there - I felt like I was in a Discovery Channel episode. In the evening the wood stove made the cottage very romantic and warm. Such a release to spend a few days without a cell phone, internet and TV while enjoying 5 star accommodation.
